Introducing the ultimate storage solution for your comic book collection: the Comic Book Case. With the ability to hold up to 22 comic book slabs separated, or up to 36 comic book slabs touching (after cutting out the separator tabs), or up to 224 loose comic books (not in slabs), or a combination of any configuration, this case has the versatility to meet your unique storage needs.
The foam design options are equally customizable. You can remove all the foam plugs for standard (separated) slab storage, cut the finger separators off for increased slab capacity if you don’t mind the slabs touching each other, insert the foam spacers (on the sidewall and bottom) to securely hold loose comic books, or cut the foam spacers smaller and insert select bottom spacers to hold both slabs and loose comic books at the same time.
In addition to its impressive storage capacity, the Comic Book Case is also 100% shippable and airline approved for TSA checked luggage, has two padlock points that support a customer supplied padlock with a 1/4″ shackle, and is 100% waterproof (IP67) and dustproof. The wide bodied snap latches can be used with thick gloves, and all latch and hinge pins are made of stainless steel. The injected molded case shell with integrated exterior structural ribs increase durability and provide deflection points, making it fully ATA and TSA approved and compliant in all 50 states. The base foam is heavy duty, non-abrasive, pre-cut, mil-spec, closed cell polyethylene, which won’t absorb moisture or oil.
Please note that the case will weigh 35 lbs fully loaded with the slabs separated, and will weigh 52+ lbs fully loaded with the slab separators cut out and the slabs touching. The case does not have wheels, so it is most ideal for shipping to tradeshows, long term storage, or short distance walking transport. The slab slot dimensions are 13.25″ x 0.65″ x 8″.
