  2. Q Can I trim 0.35" from this case to make it work for a 49" semi-auto? answer now

    The inside length of the case is 49.66". Technically you could trim the foam to work with a 49" shotgun however considering there is only 0.66" left over, the barrel end or the stock end may not have enough space for foam to separate it from the case wall. So from a measurement standpoint it likely would work, but you would have to be ok with minimal to no foam on the edge.
